Ten Ways To Control Cholesterol

 Do you know that there is a bad cholesterol ( LDL) and a good one (HDL)?

If the bad is too high or the good is too low,   it is bad for health.  Both contribute to cardiovascualr disease.

Keeping bood cholesterol levels in check is important , keeping them at  recommended levels will protect us from heart attacks, strokes  and diseases of the blood vessels.

Experts say it is easier to reduce the LDL than it is to increase HDL.

There are several ways to keep them both in check. Some have been mentioned in the  tutorials on health risk factors.

  • Smoking cessation
  • Limiting saturated fat
  • Avoiding trans fat
  • Maintaining a healthy weight
