How is Santa Coping With The Swine Flu?

In Children's Health, H1N1 Virus, Health, Health Information, Men's Health, Research, Risk Factors on November 21, 2009 at 6:35 pm

Santa Claus this year may be making changes to their routine visits to protect themselves and others from the H1N1 virus.

Overweight  persons have been linked to severe attacks of the swine flu, since Santa Claus is usually overweight or obese it poses added health risks.

Associations for Santa Claus are taking actions. One in particular was a seminar recently  in Philedelphia on swine flu.

Some suggestions are:

  • Keeing sick kids away
  • Placing hand sanitizer stations around malls
  • Santa washing his suit more often ( every day)
  • Santa to get all the flu shots including the H1N1 vaccine.
  • Santa using hand sanitizers and setting an example to kids.

There was a case mentioned in which a kid too sick to be at school was seen fit to be with Santa. This year sick children will be found unfit to sit with  Santa or shake his hand.
